The House of King Abdulaziz reviewed the biography of Dr Fatina Shaker, the first Saudi woman whose voice was heard on Saudi radio.
During his tenure on the radio, Dr Fatena held talks with prominent figures at the Arab and even international levels, including his dialogue with former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Egyptian writer Mustafa Amin.
She revealed that Dr Fatena, born in Jeddah in 1940, assumed the post of editor-in-chief of the Saudi Research and Marketing Company’s first family magazine in London in 1980, and took over the supervision of a women’s page. in Okaz. newspaper.
Shaker was also appointed to teach as an assistant professor at an American college, as well as at Indiana University to teach graduate students for a summer semester.
She was then appointed to the faculty of King Abdulaziz University, then Deputy Dean of Admissions and Enrollment, before creating and chairing the Committee for Studies and Research, then Deputy Dean of the College of Arts and superior Studies.
Dr. Fatna received her BA from Cairo University’s Faculty of Commerce in 1962, and her MA in 1966 and her doctorate in 1972.
