Despite rumors, which indicated that the “Huawei” company had discontinued production of phones and offloaded them for other electronics, the company announced its intention to launch a foldable phone on February 22.
According to what has been posted by the official company page, the phone called the Mate X2 will be a follow-up to the Mate X phone, while the screen folds inward this time around.
The new phone contrasts with the Mate Xs and Mate X, as it featured outward-facing folding screens, and Huawei has moved away from initial designs similar to Samsung phones.
Few details are yet available on the Mate X2, and it will likely include the same Kirin 9000 processor as the Mate 40 Pro.
