Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi has issued a ruling requiring workers at outlets for gold and jewelry business to obtain professional work permit according to a number of controls.
The decision stipulated that the worker must be of Saudi nationality, with the professional skills to perform this activity in accordance with the controls specified in the forms announced on the ministry’s website, and that his file did not present any safety concerns.
The decision aims to improve the working environment in the gold and jewelry sector, and increase the efficiency and stability of workers in this sector, and the license will be valid for one year, subject to renewal.
It also planned to give a deadline of 6 months from the date of its publication on the website of the ministry before its date of entry into force.
