King Saud Medical City’s head of infectious diseases, Dr Alaa Al-Ali, has answered a number of common questions regarding mixing with a confirmed case of corona.
And he confirmed, in a video clip released by the Ministry of Health, that the person who treats a confirmed case of infection for 15 minutes while adhering to all preventive measures from both parties, mainly by wearing the muzzle and maintaining a distance of one meter, is not considered contact.
He explained that the quarantine period for those in contact should begin within two days from the date of confirmation of infection of the case it was mixed with, and he also pointed out that on contact with cases confirmed, the quarantine period should begin, regardless of the onset of contact symptoms and age.
