Saudi payment network "MADA" announced Tuesday the official activation of "Apple Pay" in the Kingdom, in cooperation with Apple.
Mada said that the banks that currently support this service are Al Rajhi Bank, National Bank, Riyad Bank, Al-Enma Bank and Al-Jazira Bank.
She explained that the method to add the card is to enter the application "Wallet" on iPhone devices, to register the card by scanning the information on the card, and then to enter the card verification code, which will arrive by SMS.
No charge will be charged to the cardholder for use in the Apple Pay app locally, but in the case of international transactions, the fee will be subject to the signed agreement between the issuer and the cardholder.
