Education Minister Hamad Al-Sheikh said that next year will see an increase in the number of missions to China to study different degrees.
During a speech delivered Saturday at a workshop on the introduction of the Chinese language in educational programs, he explained that in 10 years the situation would be different and that Chinese would spread in the kingdom in the same way as other languages such as English and others.
Al-Sheikh said scholarship students who graduated from Chinese universities in recent years would form the core of the new Chinese language start in the kingdom, expressing hope that the workshop will culminate in a clear vision and strategic programs in support of this path.
He expressed his optimism about the strategic direction of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of China to increase the volume of economic exchanges between the two countries and strengthen the relations between the two peoples and prepare a promising future for cooperation in various fields.
King Saud University reviewed the experience of teaching Chinese language in this workshop, indicating that it had started introducing Chinese since 2010. 35 students graduated.
