Transport Minister Nabil al-Amoudi said the next major public transport project will link Riyadh to Jeddah by rail.
He added that the goal of the project is to connect the Kingdom's ports in the western region of East through Riyadh, making this project the backbone that will connect the regions of the Kingdom.
He pointed out that the goal is to establish 9,200 km of railways during the year 2040, explaining that the current network in the Kingdom extends over 4,500 km.
