The Municipality of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah region examined aerial images of some residential areas after completing the first phase of the rehabilitation works of roads and residential areas and turning them into LED lighting.
The secretariat pointed out that the goal of switching lights is to rationalize 69% of current electricity consumption, in addition to avoiding the emission of more than 61,000 tonnes of harmful carbon.
She added that it also aims to unify the visual identity at Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah by unifying the color of the lighting.
