Riyadh region security authorities, police successfully arrested 5 expatriates who professionally snatched wallets and purses from the elderly, worshipers and people visiting public places, seizing money and the personal effects that were there and using their bank cards in purchasing transactions.
The arrested persons, who are 5 expatriates of Yemeni nationality, all violating the border security system, admitted to having committed 26 robberies in several districts of the city of Riyadh.
District police said the defendants had been arrested with a view to completing legal proceedings against them.
