Journalist Salah Makharash died tonight, Tuesday, from a recent illness in the Emirates, where the media mourned him, calling for mercy and forgiveness.
Makharash has enjoyed a fulfilling career in journalism in the Kingdom, starting with the Al-Jazeera newspaper in Riyadh in 1987, then joining the newspaper’s office itself in Jeddah in 1995.
He co-founded the “Rotana Khaleejia” channel at the start of its broadcast and launch in 2005, and ran Rotana magazine’s first office in Jeddah.
Since 2004 he has been in charge of MBC FM Radio, and has helped discover many names in the world of art and singing.
The late had a large number of famous television programs, on the channels Rotana, mbc, the first Saudi channel and Al-Arabiya.
The last latest media station in the UAE, when he moved there in 2018, to work as a consultant for Al-Ghad Al-Mashreq, and he is also the journalist’s brother and honorary member of Al-Nasr Club, Abdullah Makharsh.
