Dear fellow citizens
Peace, mercy and blessings from God:
With God’s help and success, we are announcing the budget for the next fiscal year (1442/1443 AH) corresponding to (2021 AD) to continue to promote the process of development and prosperity in our dear country, and spending approved in this budget are (990) billion riyals, and revenues are estimated at (849) billion riyals. With an estimated deficit of (141) billion riyals, which represents (4.9) percent of GDP.
The world has gone through an unprecedented pandemic, which is the Corona pandemic which has negatively affected the global economy, and God has helped us – as part of the exceptional precautionary measures and preventive measures that have been taken in the face of this pandemic. – to lead the provision of free treatment to all citizens and residents who have contracted the coronavirus and to violators of the system. Residence in all public and private health establishments and recent decision of the Council of Ministers to pay an amount of (500) thousand riyals to the families of the deceased due to the Corona pandemic on the part of workers in the public or private health sector whether civilian or military, Saudi or non-Saudi, and whether this applies from As of the date of registration of the first injury.
The Kingdom is part of the world that affects and is affected by global events and conditions, and it has not been isolated from the effects of the crisis on both public finances and the economy. The pandemic has affected the activity of the local economy, in addition to the negative effects of the global economic recession and declining demand, especially in the oil markets which have experienced a sharp decline. In the price.
It has been a difficult year in the history of the world, and the health measures, the financial and economic initiatives that we have taken, and the reforms that have come with the approval of the Kingdom vision (2030) have led to the reduction negative effects on the citizens and residents of the Kingdom and on our economy, all with the grace of God, then the solidarity of the citizens And the inhabitants of our country, who do not miss me on this occasion, to thank them for their positive role in the face of this pandemic and in bearing its burdens.
Our directives were issued to prioritize this budget to protect the health and safety of citizens and residents, to continue efforts to limit the effects of this pandemic on our economy and to continue working to stimulate the economic growth, develop services, support the private sector and preserve the jobs of the citizens therein, and implement housing programs and projects and development projects that provide more employment opportunities for citizens and achievement goals of the vision, with emphasis on increasing the efficiency of public spending, paying special attention to social protection, reducing waste and fighting corruption, and we also insist on the effective implementation of budget programs and projects.
We praise the Almighty for the good deeds with which he loves our country, trusting in the success of God and his help, and eager to continue the march of economic growth and global development, continuing to achieve this goal. , with the help of Almighty God and counting on him.
