The Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Health, Dr Abdullah Asiri, explained that the issuance of an electronic health license and certificate for people who have received the Corona virus vaccine is related to obtaining the second dose.
Asiri said in an interview with Al-Arabiya TV, that immunity to the virus does not start immediately after taking the second dose of vaccination, but the person needs 14 days after that, in order to achieve the full immunity provided by vaccination.
He hopes that the Ministry will complete the vaccination of the first high-risk group within one to two months and that after that it will start administering the vaccine to the other groups.
