The 10th Island Common Shield, with the participation of the Saudi Armed Forces and Security Sector in various land, sea and air sectors, was launched on Saturday in Eastern Province with the participation of GCC forces .
The Ministry of Defense explained that the exercise "Peninsula Shield 10" was launched in the presence of the commander of the joint task force, Major General Abdullah bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, commander of the forces of the shield of the peninsula, and commanders of forces participating in the exercise. This exercise lasted two weeks.
Major-General Al-Qahtani explained that the exercise was aimed at strengthening joint military cooperation among GCC countries, exchanging experiences between the Kingdom and other GCC countries, and developing the skills needed to use the available technologies safely.
The training session has 4 stages: the first is the arrival of the troops by land, sea and air and the university instruction of the participating forces, the second stage is the training of the command center, the third stage field training with live ammunition and the fourth closing ceremony and the departure of the participating forces. .
