The ceremony of the Ministry of Culture, held Wednesday night at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center in Riyadh, was marked by the announcement of 27 new initiatives to realize the vision and strategic directions of the Ministry. in the Kingdom.
The ministry said in a statement that one of the most important initiatives was the creation of the King Salman International Arabic Language Academy, the creation of the Cultural Growth Fund, the launch of the Cultural Scholarship Program, the creation of public libraries and the creation of the International Red Sea Film Festival.
These 27 initiatives belong to 16 cultural sectors serving the ministry: language, heritage, books and publishing, music, film and visual arts, performing arts, poetry, visual arts, libraries, museums, natural heritage, cultural and archaeological sites, Fashion, festivals and events, architecture and interior design are all cultural routes in which Saudi talent is active throughout the Kingdom.
The ministry indicated that it will oversee these areas through 11 new entities to be put in place to track and support the implementation of initiatives.
It should be noted that Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, announced at the ceremony the vision and direction of the Ministry of Culture in the Kingdom. Three main aspirations were to devote culture as a way of life, culture of economic growth and culture in order to strengthen the international status of the Kingdom.
