The Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, opened the Riyadh International Book Fair on Wednesday night at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Minister of Culture thanked the guardian of the two holy mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, for sponsoring the exhibition.
The Minister of Culture also welcomed the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain as the guest of honor of the present session of the exhibition, represented by Sheikha Mai Baht Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Culture and Antiquities.
The exhibition will last ten days until March 23rd at the International Convention and Exhibition Center of Riyadh with the participation of 913 publishing houses, 500,000 titles and 1,750 participants from 30 countries. Arabs and foreigners.
The agenda of the exhibition includes more than 200 cultural and various events, including 62 devoted to seminars and conferences on culture, and 13 sessions of the activity of the Council of Culture, which also includes four theatrical performances, 18 Saudi short films and 29 artistic workshops.
The exhibition management has also set up three signature platforms on which 267 authors and authors of their books will sign, in front of the visitors of the exhibition.
