Aseel al-Ansari, who survived the terrorist attack perpetrated on Friday against mosques in New Zealand, recounted horror moments at the time of the attack and how he became ill after having been injured.
Al-Ansari, 19, described the incident as an atrocity, noting that he could not imagine how he had survived and what he had seen looked more like a movie of Horror, stressing that the incident would not undermine the determination of Muslims united in God and those who maintain their prayers.
He stated that the shooting had taken place during the sermon and that there was a state of terror and screaming. He was shot by a bullet in the foot while he was trying to get out of the mosque then jumped into a neighboring house. The family received him, wounded him and took him to the hospital.
Ansari added that he was not the only Saudi in the mosque. Two of his friends had escaped as soon as he had heard the sound of the bullets and that he had undergone surgery the day before to extract the bullet and had succeeded. He would return to the Kingdom after his convalescence.
He pointed out that the incident would not lose his trust in Almighty God and would increase his morale and determination to carry out his studies in the field of network engineering.
