The Ministry of Health has denied that vaccines given to children cause autism, saying the rumor stems from a fraudulent study that was withdrawn.
In his outreach letters, the ministry explained the story of the mock study published in 1998, in which a doctor named Andrew Wickfeld had asserted the existence of a relationship between autism and the MMR vaccine .
She pointed out that in 2000, it was discovered that the study had been falsified and that the license had been withdrawn and Iqbal, as well as the magazine "The Lancet", which had apologized, were published.
Later, more than 20 studies involving millions of children around the world have shown no association between the vaccine and autism.
The ministry pointed out that neglecting the vaccination of children could cause serious complications and recommended that the vaccine be taken for its safety and for its effective role in the prevention of measles.
