Yesterday (Thursday) evening, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals celebrated the enrollment of the first group of female students to study at the undergraduate level.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Energy, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Prince of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Nayef, and his deputy, Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman congratulated the female students on their admission to the university, indicating that what is happening today is one of the outcomes of the Kingdom vision, noting that since the launch of the vision, the Kingdom has went through a great series of transformations in various social and economic fields, which we began to bear fruit on the ground.
He described the Kingdom vision as the will that effected change, resolved contradictions and triumphed over hesitations; While preserving the principles of the State and the identity of the company.
It should be noted that the female students have already started studying during the current semester and that they represent the first group after the studies at the university are limited to the students, a step which opens wide horizons towards the empowerment of Saudi women and supporting their participation in the race for civilized development.
