Jazan's Civil Defense Branch spokesman Major Mohammed Al-Samgan said the search operations have been ongoing since the tragedy began 23 days ago. The civil defense forces and their mechanisms are present on the site and use all available means to find them.

On the other hand, according to the above, the family asked the civil defense to use trained dogs to comb the valley and its banks in order to find them.

One of the families was drowned by the heavy rains that hit the Jazan region as she was trying to cross the valley on the fifth day of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, where four bodies (father, mother and two children) were found, while the fate of the 3-year-old girl is still unknown.
