News Creation of 419 factories with more than 14 billion riyals and 24,000 jobs

In 2018, the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources (currently the industry and mineral resources) has issued licenses for 419 new factories in various industrial activities.

The total funding of these plants, according to 55th Annual Report of the Saudi Monetary Agency "SAMA"; 14.3 billion riyals and provides more than 24,400 jobs.

The report shows that 67 licenses were issued to the metals industry with total funding of 948 million riyals and 65 licenses to the food industry with funding of 1.8 billion riyals.
The total number of factories in the Kingdom approved by the ministry at the end of 2018 has grown to 8,442 plants employing approximately 615,000 people.
