Police in Taif province arrested a citizen during his fifth decade after trying to escape from a checkpoint.
Sources said that the arrested man was traveling in a garaged vehicle with another person when he was surprised by a checkpoint on a main street in the province.
She added – according to "already" – that her arrival at the security point coincided with the presence of a security vehicle behind him, which led him to believe that he was encircled. So he decided to escape the checkpoint.
According to him, he tried to overthrow a member of the security forces, then climbed onto the sidewalk and sped at full speed. His car slid directly into a dirt area and overturned.
After his arrest, he found that he and his companion were in an abnormal state. Narcotic captagon pills were found inside the vehicle and were found to be in demand by the security services in several cases.
