A specialized team from the Center for Neuroscience at King Abdullah's Medical City in Mecca managed on Wednesday to find an Egyptian woman with the sight that came with her parents to perform the pilgrimage this season.
After 7 hours, the medical team completed the operation on the bottom of the skull of the 16-year-old girl.
The Egyptian girl had been referred to the center after being diagnosed with an almost complete loss of vision of the left eye and a weakened weakness of the right eye due to the presence of a large tumor and to a bleeding brain in the pituitary gland.
