Government departments and agencies will return to work on Sunday after the end of Eid al-Adha leave by the Department of Public Service, at a time when the sentence will be extended to employees absent without excuse, as provided the law.
Resolution No. (747) of 12 Ramadan 1391 AH of the Council of Ministers states that an employee absent from work on the first working day following the holiday of Eid is sanctioned by the deduction of two days of his salary on the first day of return to work until the end of the sixteenth day.
The decision also provides for certain elements to be taken into account before the sanction for the absentee employee, namely that his absence is without excuse and that his absence is linked to the end of the holiday. It is not allowed to calculate the absence of the day two days in the registers and constitutes a sufficient material deduction of double wages only.
