The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MoLSD) announced Monday that it was supporting private sector institutions that achieved high emiratization rates and complying with the ministry's regulations aimed at providing instant visas so to obtain human resources via Qawai's electronic platform.
This new service allows employers to apply for and issue immediate visas, rather than a long recruitment trip of almost eight months, which required a declaration of employment, space requirements and a volume of contracts.
The service was launched with the aim of achieving significant growth in the emiratization rate through the application of the "Emiratization versus Recruitment" formula, which allows the employer to obtain a Unlimited number of visas without the support of other parties with the required number of employees.
The Ministry also clarified that the status of the institution should be in a green and upper range with valid work permits, engage in the wage protection program and remain in that range 13 consecutive weeks or 26 intermittent weeks in the previous 52 weeks.
