News Oil prices rose following more than 10% terrorist attacks against Aramco and Brent plants

Oil prices rose sharply on Monday after the terrorist attacks on two Aramco factories in the Abqaiq and Hijra Kharid provinces in the east of the country.

Brent rose nearly $ 72 (+ 19%), its highest level today, before climbing 10% to $ 66.67 a barrel.

Nymex reached a high of $ 63.34 per barrel (+ 16%), then reduced its earnings to more than 9% to $ 59.84 per barrel.

The Interior Ministry announced Saturday that a fire in the Aramco laboratories in Khurais and Abqaiq had been under control as a result of the terrorist attacks.

The Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, announced the temporary suspension of production of the two plants, which led, according to preliminary estimates, to interrupt the supply of crude oil estimated at 5 , 7 million barrels.
