News "Prisons" allow 50 inmates to perform Hajj with their families

The General Directorate of Prisons has helped 50 inmates of the Thiqa program practice Hajj this year with 30 of their families, a first experience of this kind in the Kingdom.

The Directorate General of Intellectual and Moral Guidance is overseeing this initiative in order to activate the Memorandum of Understanding between the Directorate and the Al Rajhi Hajj Campaign. An integrated program has been prepared for each day of the Hajj, from Dhu al-Hijjah on the 13th of the same month.

The prisons were created to accommodate the detainees and their families in the holy places.
