Both projects will be completed by the end of the year 2019.

The airport development project aims to increase its capacity to 400,000 passengers per year instead of 100,000, in line with international airport standards, in order to meet the growing demand for tourists from around the world to visit the airport. province.

The first phase includes the expansion of the airport to accommodate more aircraft, the creation of a new VIP lounge, the introduction of a new system of 39; digital information and the development of indoor and outdoor designs of the two terminals of the airport using local materials reflecting the Ela environment, while the second phase will include the addition of a new aircraft corridor by the end of the first quarter from next year 2020.

She added that the development plan of the Maraya Theater includes improvements to the theater and its extension to accommodate about 500 people, with the development of the theater sound system, as well as the creation of a restaurant that can accommodate 500 people and space for art exhibitions.

For his part, the Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Farhan, said the two projects were aimed at providing the Kingdom's visitors with a dynamic and diverse tourist experience, in line with Ola's vision of sharing the world's heritage and the Kingdom's natural treasures in the province. A larger scale, which will make it a favorite theater of the greatest artists in the world.
