News Transport Authority: More than 600,000 citizens work in vehicle steering applications

The number of Saudis working in passenger transport via applications has exceeded 600,000, said Abdullah Sayel al-Mutairi, spokesman for the Public Transport Authority.

Al-Mutairi added that emiratisation in this sector is mandatory and reaches about 96%, calling, according to the city, drivers working in this area to contact the Authority in case of harassment from the operators.

It is worth mentioning that the Council of Ministers instructed the General Transport Authority, in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, to take the necessary measures with regard to the location of work in the transport activity of travelers through the service of driving vehicles with intelligent applications.
