MADRID (Reuters) – Brazilian star Neymar da Silva, of Paris St Germain, has asked for a return to the former Barcelona club in the coming years, the AS newspaper reported Tuesday.
The Spanish newspaper said the player wanted to join the Camp Nou team during the next summer transfer period.
Neymar left Barcelona last summer by paying the penalty clause of his previous contract with the Catalan team, which stood at 222 million euros.
But the Parisian player has a problem now is that there is no value to break his contract with the Paris team in 2019 and Barcelona will have to wait a full year under its contract with the GSO to be able to join in 2020.
Ase explained that the reason is that there is an element in the player's contract means a penalty clause of 160 million euros from next year.
