Xiaomi has unveiled a line of true wireless headphones in recent years and Redmi has unveiled new headphones called Redmi AirDots. The interesting thing about these new wireless headsets is that it only costs 99 yuan, which equals 15 US dollars. This is a very reasonable price for Bluetooth wireless headsets perfectly.
Technically, the Redmi AirDots headphones are based on Xiaomi AirDots headphones revealed by Xiaomi a few years ago. Thus, it means that you will get the same features. From what we know up to now, these new handsets are paired with portable Bluetooth 5.0 devices and have 7.2mm speakers. Plus, it comes with a built-in Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to reduce ambient noise. It is unclear whether these headphones actually cancel the noise, but it is unlikely that they will only work in the case of calls.
The controls are touch sensitive and you can double-tap the surface of the speakers to call the PDA. According to Xiaomi, these headphones even work with the Siri PDA on iPhone and with the Google Assistant on Android phones.
The Redmi AirDots can work around 4 hours before needing to be recharged, but their case gives them an extra 12 hours of listening music. The Redmi AirDots headset battery can be charged in one and a half hours, while the built-in battery takes up to two hours to fully charge. Each helmet weighs only 4.1 grams.
The Redmi AirDots will be available in China from 9 April. You can find them at the official shop of the company. They are only available in black and if you want to get them blank, you have to buy Xiaomi AirDots Youth Edition at twice the price.
