Officially and for the first time on WhatsApp .. Transfer your account files from iPhone to Android

WhatsApp application recently revealed the possibility of transferring files and conversations from iOS system from iPhone to Android system especially for Samsung phones and then to the rest of Android devices.

The company claims that “one of the most requested features from us is to provide the ability to transfer chat history from one operating system to another when switching between phones. We have put a lot of effort into working with operating system companies and hardware manufacturers so that devices and systems can be designed safely and reliably.

The ability to transfer your WhatsApp chat history from iOS device to Android operating system has been introduced. This process takes place without sending your messages to WhatsApp and includes voicemail messages, photos and videos. For starters, this feature is available on any Samsung device running Android 10 or later, and it will soon be available on other Android devices as well.

And when you set up a new device, you’ll have the option to securely transfer your chats from your old device to your new device. This process will require the use of a USB-C to Lightning cable.

How to Transfer WhatsApp Data from iPhone to Samsung Phone

If you are switching from iPhone to Samsung Android phone, you can transfer your account information, profile picture, individual chats, group chats, chat history, media, and settings. You cannot transfer your call history or display name.
What do i need?

Samsung SmartSwitch app version 3.7.22.1 or later installed on your new device
WhatsApp for iOS version 2.21.160.17 or later on your old device
WhatsApp for Android version 2.21.16.20 or later on your new device
USB C and Lightning cable (or equivalent adapters)
The same old device phone number to use on the new device
A new Android device that came out of the factory or factory reset

How to Transfer from iPhone to Samsung

Turn on your Samsung device and connect it to your iPhone with a cable, when prompted.
Follow the steps of the Samsung Smart Switch app.
Scan the square code displayed on the new device using your iPhone’s camera, when prompted.
Click Start on your iPhone and wait for the process to complete.
Continue to set up your new Samsung device.
When you get to the home screen, open WhatsApp and sign in with the same phone number you used on your old device.
Click Forward when prompted and let the process complete.
Once you’re done activating your new device, you’ll see your chats waiting for you.

Note: Your data will remain on your old device unless you erase it or delete WhatsApp.
What will happen to my data?

Transferring your data locally by cable means:

That the transferred data does not move to cloud storage due to moving between devices (although you may have sent this data to cloud storage separately by backing up chats).
WhatsApp cannot see the data you are transferring.

What messages can I transfer to my new phone?

You can transfer:
personal messages
You cannot transfer:
Peer-to-peer push messages
Can I transfer my call history?
Your WhatsApp call history cannot be transferred from iPhone to Samsung phone.
