Oil prices continued to rise during trading today, Tuesday, and Brent broke above the $ 61 per barrel level for the first time since Jan. 24.

At 7:34 a.m.Moscow time, Brent futures were up 0.54% to $ 61.03 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate U.S. crude futures were up 0.72% at $ 58.39 per barrel.

Oil prices were at record highs for about a year yesterday, after going above $ 60 a barrel.

This increase was supported by optimism about the distribution of anti-virus vaccines and production cuts by members of the “OPEC +” group. Saudi Arabia has committed to further supply reductions in February and March 2021.
