Oil prices hit record high for the first time in a year • Al Marsad Journal

Al-Marsad Journal: Oil prices continued to rise during trading today, Tuesday, and Brent broke above $ 61 per barrel for the first time since Jan. 24.

At 7:34 a.m.Moscow time, Brent futures rose 0.54% to $ 61.03 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate U.S. crude futures rose 0.72% to $ 58.39 per barrel, according to Russia Today.

Oil prices were at record highs for about a year yesterday, after going above $ 60 a barrel.

This increase was supported by optimism about the distribution of anti-virus vaccines and production cuts by members of the “OPEC +” group. Saudi Arabia has committed to further supply reductions in February and March 2021.
