Oil tankers crossing the Strait of Hormuz
At least 11 oil tankers are waiting to be loaded with crude oil shipments into Saudi ports after the attack on Aramco's oil facilities, halving their production.
Ships are waiting to load Monday at the ports of Ras Tanura and Al-Juaimah in the Gulf, against five ships on Thursday, according to ship tracking data provided by Refinitiv Financial Information.
The giant tanker can carry up to 2 million barrels of oil, and the increasing disruption of loading operations has increased the number of ships waiting for a turn.
The number of tankers leaving Saudi ports between 14 and 16 September rose to 56, up from 58 at the same period in August, according to the shipping traffic data regarding navigation information.
According to the same source, the number of ships entering Saudi ports has dropped to 59 in the last two days, compared with 68 the same month a month ago.
