Iran has qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2018 Asian Cup after beating Oman 2-0 in the match at Mohammed Bin Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi during the 16th round of the 2019 Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

Ali Reza opened the lead to Iran in the 32nd minute before Ashkan Dejagah added the second goal in the 41st minute of a penalty kick.

Iran will play in the quarterfinals with China, who beat Thailand 2-1.
