Instagram users, who account for nearly one billion, risk being compromised as the company faces unprecedented challenges in terms of protection and security.
According to a report published by the website, "Mashabel", an information technology specialist, thousands of accounts have been hacked and stolen without the owners being able to recover them.
"We need to do better and we are working to facilitate the recovery of their accounts.All updates will be disclosed in a timely manner," said managing director, Adam Moseri, in a tweet on Twitter.
The report explains that the inability of Instagram to help account holders to recover them, while the "white haters" who offer technology to serve lofty goals are trying to get them help.
The Instagram instructions on the help page did not allow users to recover their accounts. Those who followed the instructions from Instagram did not reach a conclusion, while the company said that the recovery of some accounts could take months.
