For the first time in the world, OPPO, the world's largest smartphone brand, plans to launch a 5G smartphone with the new Qualcomm 5G chip, allowing users to benefit from an enhanced 5G connectivity experience that will be available on the market during the fourth quarter of 2019.

The new Qualcomm 5G chip, launched at Eva Berlin 2019, is the first chip of its kind to incorporate a 5G core strip and a 5G connectivity server into its processors. The new chip features powerful artificial intelligence capabilities that provide users with an improved gaming experience.

"The launch of the world's first smartphone with the new Qualcomm 5G chipset underscores the company's commitment to providing an outstanding technology experience to its flagship products," said Ethan Choi, president of OPPO's Middle East and Africa.

The 5G technology will be integrated into the new chip via a "system-on-chip" (SoC) function and will support communication in all major domains and in different frequency bands. This highly efficient mobile platform is based on 7-nm processor technology.
