Along with the start of Britain, the day before yesterday (Wednesday), a process of mass vaccination against the Corona virus, using the vaccine developed by the companies “Pfizer” and “Biontech”, the medical journal “The Lancet” published results from the third phase of clinical trials of a combined Oxford and AstraZenka vaccine, this vaccine is therefore unique in that it was the first to scientifically publish the results of the three stages of clinical trials.

Vaccine research teams, including the Oxford University team, have published interim results of their clinical trials in press releases over the past two weeks, but “The Lancet” magazine published the day before yesterday the results of the third phase of clinical trials of the vaccine Oxford and AstraZenka, to be “the first results”. A peer-reviewed activity is being published for a vaccine for (Covid-19), so this feature is unique to other research teams who have not yet completed scientific publication, ”confirms Dr Ahmed Salman , member of the research team of the study published by “The Lancet”.

According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Salman said: “The vaccine will be approved in a few days in Britain, to join the vaccine from (Pfizer) and (Biontech) in immunization, and the publication will strengthen our demand for vaccine approval from the American Food and Drug Authority and other international organizations. ” He adds: “There are around 30 million ready-to-use doses of the Oxford vaccine, of which 4 million are for the UK, and they will be used directly once approved.”

Work on preparing these doses began last May and manufacturing is now ramping up to produce more to meet contractual obligations.
