Former French Paris Saint-Germain star Jerome Rothen has expressed his belief that signing former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was not a good move for the club.
Ramos has yet to appear in the Paris Saint-Germain shirt, due to an injury that kept him away from Real Madrid at the end of last season.
“Since joining (Ramos) he has been recovering from the injury he suffered at Real Madrid,” Ruthen said in comments reported by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
“Injuries like this so late in your career are horrible because you can rarely treat them properly,” he added.
He continued, “When you’re a certain age you have to play a series of games to get to your best, but how are you going to do that with a frequent calf injury?”

He continued: “He will have to contribute more to the team on the pitch. Otherwise it would be pointless to have him. If you put yourself in the shoes of Kimpembe and Marquinhos, I mean at the level of individual quality, are Are they really less than Sergio Ramos today? The answer is very simple, no. ” .
He concluded: “Today I feel like Sergio Ramos was a bad proposition for Paris Saint-Germain.”
Note that Sergio Ramos, 35, joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer from Real Madrid, and signed a contract with the Parisian club until the summer of 2023.
