Pfizer and Moderna increase vaccine prices in Europe

The Financial Times reports that Pfizer and Moderna have increased the prices of their coronavirus vaccines in Europe.

The newspaper adds that the price of the Pfizer vaccine has increased by 25% to 19.5 euros, while the price of the Moderna vaccine has risen to 25.5 euros, from 22.69 euros in the past.

U.S.-based Pfizer has announced that it has updated its forecast for total sales for the current year of the emerging corona vaccine to $ 33.5 billion, from its previous forecast of $ 26 billion.

Pfizer reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue for the second quarter and raised its guidance for the year based on strong performance, including sales of its COVID-19 vaccine.

The company now expects sales of this vaccine to reach $ 33.5 billion this year for 2.1 billion doses.

Pfizer on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $ 5.56 billion, or 98 cents per share, or $ 1.07 per share, excluding one-time gains and losses.
