The Wall Street Journal predicted that Apple would abandon LCD screens on the 2020 iPhone and would adopt OLEDs instead of disappointing results for the iPhone XR.
The newspaper quotes sources close to the planning of the production which affirm that Japan Display Who manufactures LCD monitors for Apple has suffered losses in recent years and has started talks with Taiwanese and Chinese parties to invest in the company with the possibility of obtaining a share of at least 30% for the moment.
More than half of her business turnover for the fiscal year ended March 2018 stems from her work with Apple, she said, noting that the performance of the iPhone XR, which manufactures screens, did not meet expectations.
