Majdalani added: "It was agreed that there should be a movement and letters to all the countries that were invited to participate in the conference."

He stressed that the conference was an attempt "to divert attention from the (Israeli) occupation and its continuation to another issue in which the United States seeks to build a regional alliance under their leadership and Israel's participation in the fight against the so-called Iranian threat in the region ".
