In a speech delivered at the opening of the 151st session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of Foreign Ministers, Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad al Muraikhi, stated that it was only useful to promote divisions and hatred among peoples.
Al-Muraikhi spoke about the Palestinian cause and the Yemeni and Libyan crises. "Our Arab nation is undergoing dramatic and rapid developments, the effects of which are reverberating on all issues, the question of Palestine, which is still the cause of the first Arabs, no matter how many people tried to circumvent or undermine them. their status, all the Arab peoples ".
"The tragic situation in Yemen, the devastation, the destruction, the killings and the fires, call us to hold ourselves now without delay in order to push all the parties to the conflict to national reconciliation in accordance with the results of the national dialogue, the fight against violence, Gulf initiative and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2216. "
He stressed that the situation in Libya was "dangerous and that an outside interference in the affairs of that country would threaten the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the crisis and complicate the national consensus sought. by the Libyan brothers ".
On this basis, Qatar "reaffirms its position of support for the Skhirat agreement signed in December 2015 as well as all its results and appeals to all the brothers of Libya to defend them. the national interest and adhere to the dialogue without excluding any element of Libyan society and reach a comprehensive political settlement preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Libya.His people for security and stability.
