DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Qatari team won a solid victory over the United Arab Emirates team with four goals in the Asian Cup semifinal against Japan in the tournament final on Friday.
Boualem Khoukhi scored in the 22nd minute, Maaz Ali in the 37th minute and Hassan Al-Hydeus in the 80th minute, followed by Hamid Ismail in the third minute of the second half.
The match saw the expulsion of the UAE player Mohammed Ismail Ahmed Ismail complete the minutes of the match for the UAE team with only ten men.
This is the first time Qatar has entered the finals of the Asian Cup.
