On Tuesday, Qualcomm announced its latest Snapdragon 678 processor for mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
The US chip giant said in a statement that the new processor complements the Snapdragon 675 processor and brings general performance improvements, in addition to improving image capture and video recording capabilities.

In addition to these performance improvements, the Snapdragon 678 supports dynamic photography and video recording capabilities through ISP Qualcomm Spectra 250L, which supports tri-camera images up to 48 megapixels, and features such as: Portrait mode, Low light capture and Laser autofocus. .
Users can record 4K videos with recording features, such as: slow motion recording, 5x optical zoom, portrait mode, as well as dual front camera support up to 16 megapixels.
To enhance entertainment experiences, Qualcomm’s new processor is optimized for game engines such as Unity, Messiah, NeoX, and Unreal Engine 4.
The Snapdragon 678 processor comes with the Snapdragon X12 LTE modem, which offers super-fast download and upload speeds, in addition to fast response times. The modem supports download at 600 Mbps and upload at 150 Mbps.
