MADRID (Reuters) – Real Madrid beat Ajax Amsterdam 2-1 on Wednesday in the first leg of the Champions League.

Morocco's Hakim Ziash equalized in the 75th minute.
Marco Ascencio, winner of the Royal Team, scored three minutes before the end of the match.
The match saw the cancellation of the first goal in the history of the tournament after the use of video technology VAR, in the 37th minute of the meeting, when the referee canceled the goal Ajax.
The two teams will meet at home on the 5th of next month on the grounds of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, home of the Royal Club.
