MADRID (Reuters) – Real Madrid suffered a surprise defeat at home against a 3-0 home win against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
Fedor Chalov scored Cesca Moscow's first goal in the 37th minute on a strong shot from the Belgian goalkeeper that Belgian goalkeeper Typo Kurtua failed to counter.
Giorgi Chinkov managed to add the second goal of the Russian team in the 43rd minute.
In the second half, Arnor Sigurdsson strengthened CSKA Moscow's lead by scoring a third goal in the 73rd minute.
This is the first time that Real has been beaten twice in the group stage since the 2008/09 season against Juventus.
In addition to the win, CSKA Moscow managed to keep their own net for the first time in their last 20 appearances in the Champions League.
In the same group, the Czech team Victoria Blazen beat Roma 2-1.
Real Madrid remain at the top of Group G with 12 points, Rome second with 9 points and the final prize, while Victoria Plzen finishes third with 7 points tied with CSKA Moscow. The Czech team will play in the European league, which came in favor of Plzen.
