Real Madrid fires coach because of Clasico

MADRID – Real Madrid coach Alvaro Benito was fired Friday by the newspaper Marca, said the club's technical director.
"Venecius Junior is an excellent player, he did everything at a young age, but the problem with the Real lies in other names like Casemiro and Cruz," said Benito after Real's defeat to Barcelona.
The newspaper said Real Madrid's management was furious at the coach's comments, especially because the Spanish media had accused him of criticizing the senior stars in the team's locker room and sending him back from urgently.
Real Madrid's Raul Gonzalez will lead the youth team at Benito's place, Marka said in his report.
