Iraq's Minister of Health and the Environment, Aladdin Alwan, has resigned from Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Thursday, September 12, 2019 due to political pressure, he said.

He also thanked all ministers of the Council of Ministers, the Council of Representatives and the Ministry of Health and Environment who cooperated with him in the fulfillment of his mission.
The resignation comes at a time when the Iraqi Council of Representatives is preparing to interrogate several ministers of the Abdul-Mahdi government in the context of the existence of corruption files in some ministries and deterioration. services in others after almost a year after the formation of the government.
