Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo led his country to a white victory over Qatar in the friendly that brought them together on Saturday in the European World Cup qualifiers.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Fonte and Andre Silva alternately scored Portugal’s hat-trick in the 37th, 48th and 90th minutes, respectively.
Ronaldo broke a new record today by becoming the most European player participating in international matches with 181 appearances, and severed the partnership with Spaniard Sergio Ramos (180 appearances).
It should be noted that the oldest player in the world is former Malaysian star Se Chin An with 195 matches, which he played while representing his country between 1969 and 1984.

Ronaldo also strengthened his goal today, his all-time scoring record at the national team level with 112 goals.
He added Qatar to the list of teams he scored against, bringing the number to 46 teams.
It should be noted that Qatar is exceptionally and legally participating in the first group of European qualifiers for the World Cup, which it will host next year, not to mention the results of the matches to which it is a party.
